Royal Wedding!!!
I didn't get a chance to watch the entire wedding, so I caught the highlights on CNN.com and the funniest thing happened! I teared up! Like three or four times! What! My husband teased me because I go to weddings almost every weekend! I KNOW!!!! :D But I just L O V E weddings! I was a little bit embarrassed, but at least I know I picked the right career choice! :D Ha ha!
By the way.... Any photog would have loved to shoot this one, but whoa what pressure! What about those family pics! :D

Facebook Photo Panel!
This is my first attempt at Facebook photo panels. It looks great on my wall, but on the news feed it came up out of order. Grrr! Well, it's cool if you go to my wall! :D

Melita + Tristan
This photo shoot was SO much fun. Melita and Tristan are from The McGarity House and we've been chatting about doing a session together for a long time! We finally got together last week and it was probably the windy-est day of the year! But they didn't mind. :D I think they get the record for being the most fun couple. They laughed the entire time and we just didn't want to end the session! :D THANKS!!!

Engagement Sessions
I was chatting with one of my groom's the other day about why people do an engagement session and thought back to when I got married over 10 years ago. We considered going to Sears or someplace to take ONE photo of us sitting in a chair with a gray backdrop, but never really got around to it. So, the only photos I have of us together are some snapshots from trips we've taken and holiday photos.
Things are a little different now! An engagement session can last up to 1 1/2 hour and I've had some of the COOLEST locations! It's a great way to put a time stamp on your relationship, because usually after the wedding photos, there will be family photos and after 10 years you don't take many photos of just to two of you! :D
Here's some great engagement photos with Kelley and Kevin from last week! Enjoy!

Baby Asher!
What's so much fun about my job is when a former bride and groom ask me to take their newborn photos! I shot Rachel and Kyle's wedding two years ago and I get to see them every once in a while at other weddings I shoot. But when they called me to take Asher's newborn photos I was super excited. And, yes, I LOVE shooting babies.... but one of the coolest things about this session is walking into their home and seeing their wedding photos that I shot all over the house!!! :D HAha!

Camping!!!
Camping and trout fishing at Wildcat Creek in the mountains is a yearly tradition. This was Brooke's first year and even the grandparents came along this time. We let the girls catch some HUGE trout in a pond for some delicious dinner. Mark did all of the campfire cookin' this year and we ate like kings! We always make a quick stop in Helen for some candy before we head home. It was a great trip! :D

Wedding Envy
So, I have a friend who's a fabulous wedding planner and I hear her updates on Facebook all the time that she get's gifts from her brides. I would think to myself, "Sigh.... it must be so nice to be a wedding planner and get a gift from your bride..." (as I look longingly into space with my chin propped up in my hand). Then Saturday before she got into her dress, Erin handed me a pink bag. I really didn't believe her when she said it was a gift for me. I was SOOO excited!!!! She got me a monogrammed bag with PMP on it!! How incredibly thoughtful!!!! I could go on and on and ON about how excited, and flattered I am. They even insisted on sending me home with loads of cake, candies for my three girls and a centerpiece! They really, really made me feel so special! Thanks SO SO SO much!!! : D

Kendal + Swayze's Wedding
From the first time I met Kendal till she got into her antique Ford Model-T after the reception, she was nothing but full of grace and beauty. She is what I would consider a true Southern Belle at its finest! She looked amazing, yes, but Kendal carried herself as if on a bright, fluffy cloud every step of the day. And it was a long day for everyone! :D I consider myself pretty lucky that she picked me to shoot her wedding. Every detail was perfect, the guests were gracious, and the HUGE bridal party was a blast! I had a wonderful time, and I hope you enjoy their photos!
