Jordan + Jeremy's E-Session : Engagement Photos in Atlanta

I was SO excited when I drew Jordan's name for the Kiss The Bride engagement session giveaway because she was in a bridal party from one of my weddings from last year!  Jordan and Jeremy were such troopers with all of the paparazzi shooting away and giving them orders.  Go here!  Look this way!  Move that way!  Turn around!  It was like they were celebrities! :D  They got so cold though, by the end of the shoot Jeremy's hands were literally blue!   Thanks for hangin' in there!  And I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!! :D

From the other side of the glass...

I thought this was funny.  One of our KTB associate photographers, Gail, took my photo, while I was taking her photo at our workshop last weekend.  I thought it was kind of  Alice in Wonderland-esque.... in a photography sorta way......just go with it! :D

The "Pro-Photo" workshop is going to be SO much fun for me because I get to help out people who are bascially where I was 5 years ago.  Ohhhh, if I had someone to help me figure out how to set up my business and just have the basic skills to get started!  We'll, I decided to pull it all together for other new photographers just coming on the scene.

The Pro-Photo class will include:

Photo-Mom Workshop!

I'm super excited to have the "Photo-Mom" workshop because I have so many awesome clients and I know I can't be at their house all year long. :D   So, I decided to have this workshop to help them take beautiful photos of their beautiful babies! :D

Kiss The Bride Workshop

The Kiss The Bride Workshop was SO much fun!  We spent the entire day teaching, sharing, chatting, and venting.  Seriously, we had to pry ourselves away from each other at the end of the day! :D  I'm hoping everyone else got as much out of it as I did and we already have ideas for the next workshop!

A special thanks goes out to Melita from McGarity House who let us take over for the day and use the venue for our photo session as well.  We'll be posting Jordan and Jeremy's engagement session soon.

Another thanks goes out to Jet from Simply Catering for providing the yummy food!  She is great to work with and I'll be adding her to my vendor list soon too! :D

My last thank you is KTB Associate Photographer Gail, who took these awesome photos of the workshop for me!  THANK YOU!!!!

Please keep an eye out for my next "Photo-Mom" and "Photo-Pro" Workshop coming soon.

Engagement Season is upon us! :D

My Facebook question of the week this week was:
Did you pick out your engagement ring together, or did he surprise you?!?
I just love hearing from everyone!  Please post your story! :D

Anita  I picked out 3 and the store took note...then he picked from there. He only had 5 days leave...so, he asked me to do that for    him so he wouldn't use up his leave worrying that he'd get the "wrong" one!

Sasha Suprise!!!!! and I would not want it any other way! We had not even discussed cuts, size, or settings. (oval solitaire and half a carat vvs1, D color btw) And he was very romantic in the asking btw. Dinner at Ruth's Chris, limosine moonlit drive, and took me to the top of Shades Mountain.

Diane We went to Solomon Brothers and picked out the loose stone together. He picked up the ring later.

Tammy He suprised me with a ring for the proposal and then we picked out the official diamond engagement ring, wedding band and his band to match.

Kenni He surprised me! I will wear it 'til the day I die :>) It's small - but it reminds me that it was the "best he could do." He could buy something way bigger now - but this is good enough for me.

Katelyn We went looking at rings together, but he had the final say so :)

Kayla  He knew the kind of rings that I liked. Knowing that, he took diamonds from his grandmothers ring and had my engagement ring and wedding band made.

Rachel I picked out 3 styles and then he chose and surprised me with one!

Mallory  He surprised me with a custom ring! No other ring will ever look like mine

1-11-11

What an awesome date! One - Eleven - Eleven.  I can think of a few reasons today is SUPER special.

#1.  All of those one's.
#2.  School's out because of the snow!!!!
#3.  The MOST special part of today.... It's EMILY'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Emily turned 8 years old today and it is a most memorable day because all of those ones!  I made her a couple of keepsake boxes....She loves boxes!  Got her 11 M&Ms and 11 Whoppers (her favorites).  I wrote 11 things I love about her and made her go on a scavenger hunt with 11 clues to find her present.  Then of course, we had a sledding party!  It was the best birthday E-V-E-R according to Emily... and me too! :D

One Shot Wonder For Your Weekend

The reason I love this photo........?  I went to my car to pack up some of my gear and as I came back up the hill to meet Laura and Josh he pulled up to her and she was teasing him a bit.  Totally spontenious, unposed and naturally awesome!

Bridal Sessions 2010

Sometimes I'm asked about whether or not to do a bridal session and my answer is usually the same.  It's up to you!  I hate making decisions for people becasue I'm afraid I might convince them of making the wrong one! :D  But, there are some definite advantages to having a bridal session.

#1.  Who doesn't love to wear their dress again and again!  :D  HaHa!

#2.  It gives you a chance to do a trial run of your hair and makeup and see how it all comes together. It 's good to do it a few weeks before so you can iron out any kinks in time before the wedding day.

#3.  You get 1- 1/2 hours of YOU time!  :D  It's much more relaxed than on the wedding day and you can enjoy the process more.

#4.  The bridal session can be taken at any location!  You're not just stuck at the ceremony or reception location, and we can really get creative!

#5.  We are less stressed on the wedding day about getting your bridal photos finished and we can spend some more time with the bridal party.

#6.  Mom can get that formal photo of you to put in the newspaper that she's dreamed about since the day you were born! :D

There are probably some more that I can't think of right off the top of my head right now, but these are some good ones right!!   So, like I said.... it's totally up to you.  And whatever decision you make.... it's the right one! :D    Here are some awesome bridal sessions from 2010!
