Hillary breathed a sigh of relief when I announced a few months ago that I'm no longer shooting newborn photos. She booked me to shoot her maternity and newborn photos just a few weeks before my announcement! :D So, here she is. Little Canaan was one of the sweetest little babies I've ever shot! I mean it when I say that if every newborn session went as smoothly as this one, I'd shoot babies every day!! :D Thanks SO much, Hillary, for giving me the opportunity to share this special milestone with your family.... AND making my last newborn session a wonderful one! :D

Senior Portraits | Atlanta Modeling Photographer | Headshots in Atlanta
It's that time of year again! Seniors! I love it because I get to be really creative and loose with posing these young ladies! A'Lana is actually the sister of one of my brides this spring, Breana. So we were already familiar and I just loved seeing the whole family again when we shot her senior photos! :D It was a hot day, but she took it like a true "America's Next Top Model." HAhaha!

One Shot Wonder For Your Weekend!
We were actually out that morning looking for grizzleys, but as we drove down the Montana dirt road near the horse ranch we stayed at along Yellowstone River, four bucks ran down from the hills together to graze in the field by the road. It looks like a copy and paste, but it's for real! Mark made a funny sound and they all perked up as if they were posing for me! :D

Sweet Moments
I'm so lucky that when the light is just right, there's a dandilion waiting to be blown, I have my camera ready and a sweet little 10 year old is ready for the action! Yeah, we got about ten bug bites each....but to me they will heal, but this photo will be on our walls forever! :D

Summer!
The last few weeks have be SOOOOO hot. Summer is ON and weddings don't take a break, so I got some new capris, new crocks, and a new water bottle! A couple of weeks ago this little guy buzzed around me while I was waiting for the bride to walk down the isle. He was a little close, but he didn't mind me....we were both working! :D

Star Wars
Okay, so now you all know it! I'm a total Star Wars geek! Yes, I can practically quote every line from episode IV (which is actually Number 1 to me and official Star Wars fans.... don't hate!) :D So I decided it's time for my 9 and 10 year olds to get a taste of the awesomeness of some Star Wars!!!! Dun dun dun dah dah, dun dun dun dahhhh dahhhh.... Okay, the music doesn't translate well on a blog, but you get the point! So here's how it went......
"Look! They have two moons!"
"Are they republicans?"
"No, they are part of the republic."
"Is Obama a republican?"
"Are we republicans?"
"I like that little robot."
"Thats a droid."
"Oh! A princess! ...... She doesn't look like a princess. "
"Mommy. I don't get it?"
Worst part....... They turned off the movie when the credits just began and didn't listen to the music!
"Is that Earth?"
"No they're in a galaxy far far away. That's Alderan.""Look! They have two moons!"
"Are they republicans?"
"No, they are part of the republic."
"Is Obama a republican?"
"Are we republicans?"
"I like that little robot."
"Thats a droid."
"I don't like that gorilla. He sounds funny."
"That's chewbaca! He's a Wookie." "Oh! A princess! ...... She doesn't look like a princess. "
"Mommy. I don't get it?"
Worst part....... They turned off the movie when the credits just began and didn't listen to the music!

Brookes First Wedding!!!!
Just about every weekend the kids know that Mommy goes to work to shoot weddings. They get to see all of the beautiful brides, dancing and wedding cake photos when I'm at home editing, but the almost never get to go. Luckily our neighbor's daughter Nikole got married last week at Spring Lake, so even though Mommy was working, they got to come and see me in action! Brookie asked for days about the "tea party" we were going to! HAHAH! During the processional she waved excitedly to me and blew me kisses. I was about to melt, but I held it together to capture a gorgeous wedding! It was her first wedding! She loved the ceremony, the food and the cake most of all. It was a beautiful day for the bride and groom, but it was a beautiful day for my family! :D

I'm super excited to announce that I'm officially on the Chateau Elan's prefferred vendor list! I have shot a few weddings there and simply by sharing the images on facebook and getting in a magazine, it got some attention! :D Whoo hooo! I'm so excited and I've already gotten some calls! YAY!

Nikole and David's Nuptuals | Vintage Wedding Photographer | Rustic Wedding Photographer | Country Weddings | Southern Weddings
Nikole and David's wedding was so sweet. Not only was it super awesome to see all of my neighbors, and my very own family was invited, but I have several "Favorite Things" from their wedding day!
The fist one that was the BEST, was when Nikole and David had their first look under the willow tree next to Spring Lake. When he saw her for the first time, he spun her around to get a good look at her and they hugged. They had both prepared vows to read to each other. It was so incredibly intimate and romantic. Then out of nowhere David blurted out, "This is SO much better than doing it in front of everyone!" I laughed to myself (quietly) because the first looks IS such a great personal, intimate, romantic moment that a bride and groom can share together....alone! (Well, with me looking over their shoulder! HAHAH!). I loved it!
Another Favorite Thing from their wedding was right during the processional while we were waiting for everyone the music stopped for a moment, then a hawk cried out! It was like a movie! It made the mood so authenticly romantic! Like someone said "Cue the Hawk!!!" :D
My last favorite thing was during the ceremony I was sitting in the pews hiding out so I wouldn't be in the isles. Right in front of me the little three year old ring bearer turned around with a scowling look and said "SHHHHHH!" to me as I was shooting the bride and groom. Then he whispered, as quietly as a three year old could, "Stop!" Apparently he didn't like the sound of my shutter and HE was adamantly told to be quiet during the ceremony.... and that means me too! :D It was adorable, I had to catch a shot of him scolding me! :D
It was a great wedding and I truly had a wonderful time. And we got some fun/awesome shots. Everyone was willing to try my crazy ideas and it was beautiful! Congrats Nikole and David!!!! :D
