Our trip to Chattanooga was awe-suuuummme!!! We only spent one night, but we got to do a ton of super fun things. It was a great "girls" trip. I think we may need to make this an annual event!! :D
We went to the train museum and rode a short ride to the turn table and got to see some of the OLD locomotives. Brooke called out "All Abord!!!" She loved the turntable and insists the engineer liked her! :D Emily insisted on getting a photo with the conductor. Too many episodes of Dinosaur Train I think! :D
After lunch we headed over to Rock City! It was way cooler than I imagined. I loved just strolling through the beautiful walkways and tunnels. It was so serene! The girls loved the tunnels and underground gnomes!
Yes I DID walk on the swinging bridge and YES I DID scream a little!
We could see seven states from Lovers Leap.... actually it was too smoggy to see much of anything, but it's the thought that counts!
The girls loved walking through the needle and fat man squeeze!
The girls had no idea I booked a night on the Delta Queen Steamboat! We ate dinner and had two cabins to sleep in. I think this was Brooke's favorite part of the whole ship. She can't belive they had beds on the boat!!! :D
Ruby falls was our first stop in the morning. The caves on the way to the falls were so beautiful and they really did a great job making the walk very interesting. The girls loved the history and formations. But the falls were really what we expected. AMAZING! The colored lights really make it awesome!
Last stop on our trip was the TN Aquarium. We've been to the GA aquarium many times, and even spent the night there so we didn't know how we would like the TN aquarium. But it was SO different! The girls really liked it. Hannah really liked seeing all of the fish that were in the TN river and lakes. She swore she'll never swim in a lake again! :D It was Brookie's first time touching a sting ray!
The girls love the movie "Rio" so when they saw the blue mccaw they were SOOOO excited!
The butterfly house was a huge hit too. We probably stayed in there for 1/2 hour. This little guy landed on me twice. I was so excited, but couldn't tell anyone. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it.
This reminds me of the alien tanks in "Independence Day." :D
Brooke did NOT like the Hannah exhibit!
I loved that it was on a Friday morning and there was practically no one in the aquarium! We were able to enjoy every single exhibit without worrying about lines or getting lost. We sat at the otters for about 20 mins and the girls just looked around. It was wonderful!
