So, I have been friends with the Stanleys for quite some time and we went to church together till they moved to Dallas. I was actually Shanny's youth leader and now she's all grown up with little girls of her own! Makes me feel a little old. :D Anyhow, Shanny's mom came along and I hadn't seem her in years! I miss them SO much! I was so excited to see her and she lost some weight and looks fantastic, so I hollared in the way I always do when I'm excited ..... Did you loose like 500 pounds!!!! Then I stopped..... thought about that.... and realized to my horror....AGAIN.... what came out of my mouth!! Why do I DO THAT!!! ARrrrrgggg! I was trying to compliment her, and make a funny joke.... and the garbage came flying out of my mouth!!! Mark calls them Pam-isms. And frankly this is not nearly the worst thing I have said to someone. I won't even repeat some of them. And I'm always utterly embarassed. I promise I don't mean any harm and usually, like in this case, I'm trying to compliment her.... but that's me. Well, she didn't mind and laughed in a forgiving way and totally understood that that's just how I am. Pretty dumb. You know that filter people have before they say something stupid....? Yeah, I don't have that. So, if you ever hear me say something that sounds rude or offensive, please give me the benefit of the doubt that it was just a Pam-ism and I really meant well. Okay?!?!? :D Well, at least I took some beautiful photos of Shanny's girls!! :D
