Jessica always has beautiful babies! And I'm SO luck she asks me to shoot her family photos. I have for the past 5 years or so! Baby Gray is only about a week old when we took his newborn photos and he was a champ! Hardly a peep! Pinterest really has revolutionized photography! It's awesome! Everyone across the world can share their favorite photos and get inspired! Since I joined I've actually had to give myself a "pinterest allowance" otherwise I'd be on there all day every day....kind of like Facebook! :D So I spend just a couple of hours a week on Pinterest pinning my favorite photos and crafts. With that being said I have one beef with Pinterest!!

Why does everything on Pinterest look so easy!! Brooke and I made these marshmallow animals...and let me just tell you.... it looks WAY easier online!!!! :D We had fun though!

Ever since I was in high school I've always loved teaching! I was sometimes asked to learn projects and teach classmates. This went on in College, and church, and of course in Mommyhood also! So why not take advantage of the opportunity to teach what I love! Photography! I always get asked for tips how to use a new camers, so the PMP Amateur Workshop is a perfect way for me to share tips and info on how to use your camera! I had abot 12 guests at the class Saturday (which is almost double what I had last year!). I loved it when someone had an "Ah Ha!" moment in the class and I hope they have many more at home while they practice! :D Thanks so much ladies for a great way to spend my Saturday morning! :D

Ryder was about two weeks old for his newborn session and he did a great job! As a mom myself, I love touching that soft skin, wrinkly backs, and smell their sweet hair. Newborn session look like they are all butterflies and snowflakes, but they have their ups and downs, so when Ryder made me take a little time out so he could have a snack, I was okay with that! :D Sandy (mom) was such a trooper! They both did a great job throuought the entire session. And also, a big THANK YOU to Melita from the McGarity House for letting us use her venue for the session!! :D

The Paris Mountain Bridal Party was an awesome hit!! :D I was so thrilled to celebrate my 5th year of shooting weddings with all of my girls!! Every detail went perfectly, we had a great turnout of my past, present, and future brides! And after watching the video I can see why people think I'm a total spaz! My best friend even laughed when I would scream anytime the girls in the room screamed and I said "I don't even know why I'm screaming." She said I just like to scream and now I have an excuse! :D HAHAH! Totally true!!! :D I'm going to have a ton of photos to post soon, but for now you are just graced with my photo booth pictures! :D

Brookie's Little Piggies!

I am used to shooting an engagement session at Piedmont Park. But I'm NOT used to shooting an engagement session at Piedmont Park in below freezing temperatures!!! Yikes! It was SO cold, but you can't tell from Janiel and John's faces. They were tough and so much fun to work with! One great thing about the cold was the park was nearly empty! We had the place to ourselves and the sun looked warm and glowy! Haaha! Thanks Janiel for hanging in there in the cold and in those serious high heels you wore! :D I had a wonderful time! :D

Winter Days!

What do you do with a 2 year old on a freezing winter day with no snow...... build a snowman!!!! We made some homeade clay with glitter in it and made our snowmen together! Brooke played with the clay for about an hour uninterrupted! She loved it... and I have to say... she did a pretty great job with her snowman all on her own! :D

Annie + FOX Theater = Three exciteed little girls!!!!

Since Emily and Hannah were in their school production of Annie, they have been obscessed with the musical! Even Brooke sings almost every song by heart with her sisters! So when we found out Annie was going to be at the FOX THEATER I got tickets immediately! It was so much fun and it was Brooke's first time at the FOX, so she was super excited! My favorite part of the entire show was looking over at her as she clapped and smiled! At the end she clapped SO hard and yelled, "You did a good job!!!" I'm so glad I'm able to take my kids to do fun things like going to the theater!! :D

Kendal and Swayze's wedding at Berry College in Rome was just the most romantic setting! Kendal was sweet as can be and Swayze was a perfect gentleman. It wasn't till the middle of the wedding when I was told that he's the kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers!!! YAY! They were all so wonderful and I had the time of my life! Occassions magazine decided to include their wedding on a three page feature in their magazine! I love getting featured and the magazine is on newstands now!! THANKS!!!

Emily Is NINE!!!

Today was an all day celebration of Emily's Birthday!!! We woke up with lots of birthday spakings and pinches. I got to spend lunch at school with her and her sisters. After school we went to the grandparents for the cake of her choice!!! We came home and ate corn dogs, Emily's Favorite, and more cake made by Brookie with strawberries...also a favorite! Before bed it was all dancing, wrestling and loads of fun! Happy Birthday Emily! We love you SO much!!! :D (By the way! What a great model! The wind was blowing, it was freezing and she had to sit in wet grass.....not one single complaint!) Love you baby!!!!

It was another one of those weddings! You know, the kind where I feel like I'm just showing up to see some of my friends! What a great way to end 2011! It really was like having a party with friends and the best part was, afterwards, I met up with my family for dinner and went to see Christmas Lights. From the beginning of the day when I met up with Katie's dad at Agnes Scott College, until it was time for me to leave the reception, everyone at Katie and Seth's wedding were SO wonderful. The thing I love the most about weddings is it's such a happy time. Everyone is glad to be there, congratulating the bride and groom. The couple is happy...and for the most part, the parents are happy too! :D At this wedding, every single person in the room had a smile on their face. And the thing I also love about weddings like theirs is they really made me feel like I was a guest, not just "the photographer." :D Katie's dad even insisted on sending me home with a plate full of cake for my family! What a great group of people and the photos are just an example of what a wonderful day it was!!!

Ella has to be one of the sweetest little girls on the planet! Her smile was contagious. I just knew Shae and Scott were the perfect couple for this! I got the idea from a photographer friend in Tennesse and asked her permission to use her idea! I asked Shae if she wanted to do it and she was as excited as I was! She got the cart and the balloons and we were off! But after only two takes the baloons took an early exit. :( We watched them float up high into the sky and just hoped one of the takes would be okay. I'm SO excited it did and I can't wait for their wedding in Rome next year!!

When Savannah contacted me to take photos of her sweet little boy I was already booked up for fall/Christmas. The weather really plays a huge part in taking a great photo! A beautiful blue sky, crisp cool day and the warm glowy sun! Ahhhh. It just couldn't get any better for an engagement session in Piedmont Park! So, pretty much every session has a memorable moment for me. And this time it WAS! I was taking a great shot of Michelle's handsome boys walking down a path and as they were walking towards me, of course, I was walking backwards.The next thing I saw was my feet and the sky! I walked right into a ditch, rolled onto my back and my feet went straight up!! Luckily it was an early morning/cold shoot so my overcoat padded my fall and the entire time my camera was in my hand outstreached witout a scratch on it! :D After I fell, one of the boys reached down to help me out of the ditch and we all laughed. I was totally embarassed, but no one was hurt, my camera was saved and we got a pretty great photo out of it! :D HAHAHHA!

Okay, I admit it! When Jennifer Garner asked me to shoot her family pictures, I was a bit dissapointed when Ben Affleck didn't answer the door. BUT! I had such a great time with her sweet family! Hannah and Emily starred in Annie in the school play tonight and there wasn't a more proud Mommy in the room! Emily was Annie and Hannah was one of the orphans. They were both so proffessional, sang beautifully and the crowd just loved them! People even asked Annie for her autograph! And, of course, Brooke said during the first song, "Oh no! I need to get up there!" She wanted to be just like her big sisters. I'm so blessed to have such wonderful children and a perfect family!!! :D

I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting locations to shoot and Savannah was just the spot! When Lauren and Wes told me they were game, then we were off! Road Trip!!!! The locations were awesome, but they were also SO easy to shoot. The chemistry between the both of them was electric, so it just made my job super easy! :D We shot over to Tybee Island to cap off the day, and it was SO worth it! I had so much fun with them and can't wait for their wedding in 2012!

Sometimes the weather doesn't always cooperate, but even in the hazy, sprinkles that day, Jada and Ryan were able to get some sweet shots for their engagement photos! I was SO thrilled when one of my favorite vendors to work with Gail Williams with A Perfect Wedding Floral Design, showed up at my house this morning to bring me this AMAZING Christmas wreath for my door and scrumptios basket of homemade goodies....that the entire family enjoyed by the way! :D I have loved working with Gail at many weddings over the past few years and I have been referring her to all of my clients. So I froze my tail off last night hoping to get a cool shot of the Leonid meteor shower, but just ended up playing hide and seek. Everytime I changed my shot, a shooting star would go across the sky somewhere else. It was fun seeing them, but I only got this pretty shot of the Milky Way! :D

Okay people! I know it's early, and I KNOW it's cold, but WOW! This is probably one of the first times I shot so early on a cold day and the fog was lifting with the sunlight coming though the trees. I mean, c'mon! You can't get better lighting than this in Hollywood! How lucky am I! :D Seriously....so when you ask me when we should shoot your session and I say 8am, don't think I'm crazy! I'm just trying to get you awesome photos!!! :D It doesn't hurt that these kids are the cutest boys on the planet too!

Savannah weekend!

I've had the opportunity to travel a lot this year, and my last trip was to Savannah! I went by myself this time and although I wish I had someone to go with me, I had a great time. The weather was perfect, I LOVE the spanish moss everywhere and I was lucky there was an art festival going on. I stumbled across Paula Deen's store so I had to stop and get Mark some fresh ground Columbian coffee, myself a chocolate lion brushed with edible 14 carat gold, and the girls a handmade palm leaf flower. I also took some amazing photos in my sessions. But you'll have to wait for those!! :D

First of all, what an AWE-SOME couple!!! We had so much fun shooting their engagement session! Sometimes I loose track of time because things are going to well in a session. The other cool thing about Caitlin and Adam is they booked me pretty much via e-mail and phone..never even meeting me. Now, I would never suggest this when booking a photographer, but hey... it's ME!! :D HAHAHAH! Really though, they just went on the referral of their Wedding Coordinator Kimberly Jan. I was so flattered and I am super excited about their wedding in 2012!

When the ladies at MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers) asked me to speak at their meeting about photography I was so flattered! It was so much fun to chat with the women about how to take better photos of their kids with their at-home camera. It's super easy to take great pictures even with a simple point and shoot camera if you just know the tricks! :D I had to condense my 1/2 day PHOTO MOM workshop down to 15 minutes, but I got some good info in for them! :D

The 2012 PHOTO MOM workshop will be on February 4th from 8am-Noon. The location is TBA, but I will be posting more as we get closer!! :D

There are SO many things I want to say about Emily and Brandon’s wedding. I don’t even know if I can put it all in one blog without boring you! Everyone was just absolutely wonderful. Each and every friend and family member invited me in as if I was part of the group not just “the help.” I already knew some of the guests from other sessions and weddings I have done, so it was like we were old friends getting back together. They even sang to me as I left the parking lot! “Pam Jones…Who?!? Pam Jooooones…”

I also just loved the way everyone was with each other. I even teared up a little while going through the photos, hoping that my daughters will have the same kind of stress free/loving day that Emily had! I mean it when I say that THIS is why I love weddings! I wish every wedding could be like theirs…. And I hope even in the slightest bit that my photos can do it justice.

The goal is to get good photos, yes, I get that. But MY goal is for everyone to have a good time. Including the guy! And let's face it. Most guys don't love getting their pictures taken. That's why it is SUCH a huge compliment to me when he says "That wasn't so bad." Or, "That was better than I thought it would be." Or in Thomas' case, "That was actually fun!" YAY! My job here is done.... and you got some cool photos too! :D

Fall Family Fun!

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I couldn't imagine a photographer who doesn't like the fall! The colors are so vivid, the air is so crisp, and free candy!! :D What's not to like! The girls just get tired of Mommy taking their photos, but they toughed it out with me for a few great shots! We also went to Carlton Farm in Rockmart. It's a family tradition to get a pumpkin, see the cows and this year we went on through to cornmaze! It was awesome! The girls loved it. Especially Brooke! :D Happy Fall!

I shot Ashley and Neil's wedding a couple of years ago and have been using their photo album to book weddings ever since. Everytime a new bride saw her photos they would oh and ah! Well that was then, and this is now! Ashley and Neil were at Kelly and Kevin's wedding and soon after she called me to ask me to shoot a trash the dress session for her! How awesome!!! I've only done a couple before, so I was thrilled to get to shoot her! I'm also excited becuase we shot it at the newest venue in Rockmart! Spring Lake is a gorgeous lodge like wedding venue. It's completely brand new so has a modern look. But it's rustic at the same time. I'll be posting more photos of Spring Lake soon!
