I had SOOO much fun with everyone at my Amateur Photography Workshop today!!!! Thank you SOOO much to everyone who braved the crazy roads this morning! I hope you had a great time, learned LOTS of stuff and stay off P mode!!!! We had SOOO much fun!!! Every year this class gets better and better!!! Everyone learned how to use their camera in manual mode, we had a super fun photo shoot with models, ate some great food and laughed a bunch! If you want to learn how to use your DSLR camera better this class is for you!!!

Photography Workshop

Only a few days left to sign up for my Amateur Photography Workshop!  This full day workshop is full of helpful tips and instruction how to learn how to use your DSLR camera!  This is a class for Amateurs, not pro photographers. I'm SO happy that Inside the Photographer's Studio has been such a hit with local photographers!  We've been having meetings about once a week at PMP Studio in Rockmart.  We've been discussing our favorite inspiration photographers, marketing and time management!  Any photographer's are welcome to attend and it's free! The McGarity House is a beautiful wedding venue tucked away on a quiet country road! I am so blessed to be friends with this family owned business! They are truly wonderful people to work with and The McGarity House is such a lovely location to have a wedding!!! They great news is, they just built this amazing barn!!! It's the perfect addition to their gorgeous property!! I can't wait to work at The McGarity House again!!!

Winter Engagement Session | Atlanta Engagement Portraits

Who says winter has to be bare and bleak!  When couples schedule their sessions in the winter they are often times worried about the backgrounds and how they will look cold and bare!  But it doesn't have to!  There is much more to winter than just snow and frost!  Lindsey and Jason's session was rescheduled to January due to rain. We were worried about the weather, but we totally lucked out with a gorgeous day!!! The best thing was, Lindsey picked an adorable location with lots of evergreen shrubs.  We shot during the golden hour and viola!  Amazing photos that don't have that, "OMG they look freezing," or "Yep, they shot that in January," look.  Honestly these images could have been shot in July and they would look the same!  So, don't be afraid of shooting  a session in the winter.  You just need a good location, great light, and a photographer who's not afraid of getting a little bit cold! :D 

Marriage Advice anyone??? :D

An old friend of mine just got married and is making an album with notes from friends with marriage advice, so he asked us all to make a card and send it in.  So I took a minute to sit down and think of all of the things my husband and I do that make our marriage work!  We are not perfect and I'm sure no one has the perfect marriage but I thought these are some of the things that we do that make us happy!  Please feel free to share some of your tidbits of advice!!!! :D  And please forgive my handwriting. I know I write like a thirteen year old boy! :D

I usually stress out around November trying to think of new and exciting ways to share a photo of our family for our annual Christmas card!  I LOVE Christmas and I LOVE getting Christmas cards from friends and family. And NOT the generic ones they send that was on last year's sale rack! I mean I want pictures! And a letter telling me all about their year!  So, every year I try to think of new and exciting ways to share our story with friends and family!!  Pinterest and other social media have tons of ideas, but here are a few that I have done in the past that were a big hit!  :D

friendly way to make your family photo fun and
festive!  Download free photo booth props for
our Christmas card HERE!!!













Set up twinkle lights in a well lit area of your home
or use your Christmas tree lights as a backdrop!
















Purchase fake snow from Michaels.com or
for a eco friendly alternative use potato flakes!











You can find 23 inch oversized wooden letters at
Homedepot.com.  I painted mine with gold spray
paint to give it a more festive look!








Once you get that perfect image you can  order basic cards from Snapfish.com, trifold cards at Shutterfly.com or Christmas ornament cards at www.tinyprints.com.  There are tons of other labs and printers to order from, but these are the most user friendly that I have found!  Enjoy!
