The building is over 100 years old and is now owned by the Culvers!  I'm SO blessed to get to work with such wonderful people!  It took about 4 months to get it here and possibly a few more to make some tweaks, but it's here! I was SO proud to meet Sonora because not only is she AMAZING in front of the camera, but she's also super smart too!!!  She has plans to apply to an Ivey League college in the northeast!  I LOVE meeting ambitious, intelligent and photogenic young ladies! HAHA!  Shooting her reminded me of a little French girl. Everything I asked her to do was perfect! Thanks SO much Sonora for picking me to shoot your Senior Portraits and congrats!! Family Photos!!!

The fall is always one of the busiest times of year for me shooting weddings, family photos and getting ready for the holidays!  I only take a limited number of sessions per month so most people book me about two months in advance.  The Elder family was super smart and booked me back in September for their session late in November... just in time for their Christmas cards!  I often get requests for sessions "this week" or "just one photo for a card."  What most people don't realize is I really DO book up two months in advance and it's extremely difficult to squeeze people in.  That's why I try to do mini sessions in the fall.  I LOVE to get dozens of my "regulars" in a session just in time for Christmas!  The point is..... if you know you want AWESOME photos for your Christmas cards... be sure to contact me early!!!! :D

Christmas Card Ideas! | CBS Better Mornings Atlanta Segement

I usually stress out around November trying to think of new and exciting ways to share a photo of our family for our annual Christmas card!  I LOVE Christmas and I LOVE getting Christmas cards from friends and family. And NOT the generic ones they send that was on last year's sale rack! I mean I want pictures! And a letter telling me all about their year!  So, every year I try to think of new and exciting ways to share our story with friends and family!!  Pinterest and other social media have tons of ideas, but here are a few that I have done in the past that were a big hit!  :D

Photo booth props are a super easy and budget
friendly way to make your family photo fun and
festive!  Download free photo booth props for
our Christmas card HERE!!!

Set up twinkle lights in a well lit area of your home
or use your Christmas tree lights as a backdrop!

Purchase fake snow from Michaels.com or
for a eco friendly alternative use potato flakes!

You can find 23 inch oversized wooden letters at
Homedepot.com.  I painted mine with gold spray
paint to give it a more festive look!

Once you get that perfect image you can  order basic cards from Snapfish.com, trifold cards at Shutterfly.com or Christmas ornament cards at www.tinyprints.com.  There are tons of other labs and printers to order from, but these are the most user friendly that I have found!  Enjoy! And Merry Christmas!!!!
