Jones' Summer Trip 2012 Part IV

After spending some time in Montana, we headed for Yellowstone National Park!  There were TONS of waterfalls, animals, and beautiful things to see to even start talking about it.

Roaring mountain was very neat and you'd never know it if you weren't paying attention.  The side of the mountain is completely bare and if you listen very quitely you can hear the mountain rumble.  It's actually the steam vents all over the side of it making the sounds.  Kind of spooky and very cool!

Everywhere you go in Yellowstone.... if you see people on the side of the road looking and taking pictures, stop first, ask questions later.

It took us a minute to figure out we were looking for the longhorn sheep that live on the rocks.  Lucky for us we stopped to look because we didn't see them again for a couple of days!  :D

One of the coolest things we did was swim in Boiling River.  A hot spring flows into Yellowstone river and mixes its scalding water with the frigid water of the river to make a perfectly warm swimming hole.  There are moments of super hot... then freezing water on you, but that was the fun of it!  Brooke was worried about what she called "Hot Dog Springs." But soon she started to enjoy floating her feet in the water and didn't want to leave! :D
