The Anatomy of a Wedding Family Portrait | Wedding Family Portraits

The anatomy of a family portrait! I typically only like to shoot the immediate family during the short 20 minutes we have for formal family photos to go quickly so guests don't have to wait! This single shot took exactly 3 minutes from start to finish. If you do the math that would mean if we had 5 large group shots it would take 15 minutes, using up most of our precious time! Luckly this family only had this one large group shot and they were very organized so we got finished just in time! Also, in case you noticed, I pulled the trigger about 17 times. Overkill maybe, but I want to make sure everyone is smiling and no blinking. I usually give the couple the best two shots! Thanks SO much to Corey and Brittany... and Kevin Bass with Millenuim-AVP.com for shooting this clip so I could share!

Family Portraits | Cedartown, GA Family Portrait Photographer

April was so sweet! She called me to book a session with her and her adorable baby as a surprise for her husband!  A few weeks later I was asked to have a table at the job fair at Cedartown Middle school.  One of the teachers, Jeremy, came to my booth and we chatted because he was a groomsman at one of my recent weddings.  He mentioned his wife wanting pictures someday and I said...without thinking.... "Oh! I know her!  She booked a session with me!!"  As the words came out of my mouth I remembered it was supposed to be a surprise!!! YIKES!  I was mortified!  We laughed about it.  I immediately e-mailed April and he called her to let her know I spoiled the surprise and I apologized like craaaaaazy!!!  She was SUPER cool and said it was fine and they were actually more happy now because he can be in the picutures too!  WHEW!  Yep...there's me runnin' my mouth again. Lucky for me I have awesome clients!!!! :D

Amateur Photography Class | Atlanta

I just LOVE to teach! So it just made sense for me to have an amateur photography class. I used to only have the class once a year, but demand was so high this year that I decided to have it twice! I'm SUPER excited about this class! I have added on an hour to include more stuff!!! :D  The class is for people who want to learn their DSLR Nikon or Cannon camera better and take better photos.  The class fee is due up front to reserve your seat and is non-refundable.  Seats are limited so reserve your seat ASAP! :D

At the hitching post! | Meredith + Brett got hitched!! | Cedartown, GA wedding photographer

The thing that stands out to me the most at Meredith and Brett's wedding was the amount of candid moments there were! Everyone was having such a good time that they almost didn't notice that I was there, so I was really able to capture some spontaneous moments, dramatic emotion, and lots and lots of laughter! I had SO much fun at this wedding. There were three of my previous wedding couples, one future couple for 2014, three of my models and a couple of ladies who came to my photography classes.... So needless to say there was a lot of love going around! :D  I truly had a fantastic time, and the photos just prove the amount of fun these people had all day long!! :D What an awesome celebration!!!!
